  21.   You MUST install the NCS Console before you attempt to install any add-on 
  22.   modules, such as the Server Information Module (SIM) or Workstation Auditing 
  23.   Module (WAM).

  25.   Please note the "Btrieve Information" section below for a brief comment 
  26.   about NetWare Btrieve.

  33.   BindView NCS requires the use of Btrieve. We HIGHLY recommend the use of
  34.   the Btrieve NLM (for NetWare 386 servers), which should be installed 
  35.   according to guidelines in the enclosed documentation.

  37.   This 3.11 release of BindView NCS does not include the Btrieve NLM, which 
  38.   comes with the NetWare Operating System on a special Btrieve disk.

  41.   configuring the Btrieve NLM.

  48.   BindView NCS requires a machine with 500-550K free conventional memory 
  49.   (the memory from 0-640K).  Any less could potentially result in "Out of 
  50.   Memory" errors.
  51.  
  52.   To obtain the fastest possible program speed, run BindView NCS from a
  53.   machine with at least 1MB of expanded memory free.
  54.  
  55.   If expanded memory is not available, try to use a machine with extended 
  56.   memory.  This is not nearly as fast as expanded memory, but much faster than
  57.   a machine with no expanded or extended memory.

  59.   BindView NCS will run on a machine with no expanded or extended memory, but 
  60.   reports will run sluggishly.

  64. │ Upgrading From BindView+ v3.0 │

  67.   Install the BindView NCS Console into a new directory.  Do NOT install the
  68.   console over an existing BindView+ v3.0 installation.

  70.   You can use old BindView+ report configuration files (RCFs) with BindView 
  71.   NCS by copying your old reports (*.RCF) into the REPORTS subdirectory. 
  72.   Any RCFs created by BindView+ v3.0 will be automatically converted by the 
  73.   BindView NCS Console to the new version.

  75.   Old Report Schedule Files (RFSs), however, are NOT compatible with the new
  76.   BindView NCS. All schedules must be recreated manually.

  78.   Also, output devices created wtih BindView+ v3.0 are NOT compatible with 
  79.   BindView NCS.  You will need to create new output devices from with BindView
  80.   NCS Setup menu under "Device Configuration".  Note that setting up 
  81.   HP-compatible printers is much easier now, as codes for orientation and modes
  82.   for HP printers are built-in to the output device editor (and thus don't 
  83.   require Print Job Configurations!!!!).
